PARENT EMAILS (In Case You Missed It)

  • Email #1

    Congratulations!!

You (or someone who you signed up with this email) are going to Summer Camp 2025 with Redeemer Student Ministry!! We are so excited for all that is going to happen, we’re packing your bus bags, putting together the final details for games, picking up your camp booklets with the devotionals in them and generally freaking out that camp is finally here!!!

You’ll be receiving a few emails, with the 12 days leading up to camp (don’t worry, we won’t make a repetitive catchy song, but students might… “on the 12th day before camp my youth pastor sent to me…”).

You’ll find helpful reminders & information you may be looking for. Here’s a few things for you today!

    1. How To Prepare Your Heart For Camp

We will be studying and reading the Book of Jude. It is a very brief letter written by one of Jesus’ disciples, and we can’t wait to read it together. So read it yourself to prepare. Pray each day that the Lord would meet you as you prepare for all that will happen!

    2. Finalized Cabin Placement, Team Color, and Chosen Activity

You won’t be surprised! For the most part, everyone is with their discipleship group or someone who invited them! Next week you may see another email with a link to see what color team you are on!

    3. Packing & FAQ

A *preliminary* look at the weather in Lake Ann, MI says we will likely have days in the 70’s and nights in the 50’s (if you’re a rare metric user I apologize for the inconvenience). Please pack accordingly! I’ll send a reminder and update as we get closer, but this is a good point to direct you to our FAQ page that answers a LOT of questions and gives some packing suggestions!

    https://summercamp2025.org/faq

bonus packing suggestion: keep your bible, pen & notebook in your backpack to go on the bus with you! you’ll need it!

    ps. More Details To Come!!

We will have a detailed check in process (that made things run super smoothly last year), Q&A about meds, the Red Canoe, emergency contact info & more! Keep an eye out for the following emails this week! AND AND AND make sure you look out for emails asking for your liability waivers before we start calling you!

    Friends, You are dearly LOVED!

    HEY CAMP PEOPLE!!

This email has some very specific requests and details, please take a look. Can’t wait to see you TUESDAY MORNING AT 7AM!

    1. PRIORITY #1 — for ANYONE bringing ANY kind of medication, supplement, vitamin, enzyme, oil, etc. please fill out the following form for each student bringing medication. Your completion of this form will save us TONS of time on Tuesday morning. Here is the form for that:

    DETAILED MECICATION REGISTRATION - https://forms.gle/GboyjmbPYNRn2GgF8

(I know we asked for this in the Registration, but the majority of responses needed a few more details for us to be able to properly care for all of our students, we will do a better job of asking those questions to begin with next year.)

2: Want to know your cabin, team color & more?? Here’s a link: ** ask Jake for the link, will not be posted on the internet

    3. If you think you’ve missed an email - you can find them on the camp website (along with packing list & FAQ too!) https://www.summercamp2025.org/icymi2025

    4. If you wanted merch we designed for camp, but did not purchase it during registration, we created another order form that will remain open for about a week after we get back from camp. These orders will NOT arrive in time for camp, but we will let you know when they do arrive for pickup! https://redeemerbibleindy.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/2927582

    5. Looking forward to seeing you Tuesday Morning at 7am!

Praying for you and for your heart to be ready for what God will do!

    🎉 FUN DETAILS

A few things we thought you may enjoy knowing!

We decided to bring some tie-dye kits, so if you’ve got an old tee or pair of socks, bring them! We have a limited supply of blank tees, but we’d love for you to bring some too (and we’ll keep up the tradition in future camps)

Red Canoe is a fun place at camp to get ice cream, treats, and lake ann stuff, you are welcome to bring some space cash to spend, but it is not required for a fun time!

Tomorrow morning we’ll try to empty our closet of old camp merch by selling it DIRT CHEAP. Tees $5, Sweatshirts at $10. We’ll have a Venmo, or drop the cash in the offering box outside the worship center!

    📏 RULES

We have a couple rules for camp, which we’ll talk about with Students tomorrow morning, but we wanted y’all to see them too! In Psalm 16, King David says, “6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.” The rules we set up for you to follow while we are at camp are intended to be boundary lines that bring you into pleasant places. Believe it or not, these rules actually make camp fun, and keep camp purposeful. Follow them, and find joy!

    1. Honor The Lord (1 Corinthians 10:31)

    2. Obey Your Leaders, Lake Ann Camp & The Schedule (Romans 13:1)

    3. Respect Each Other (Philippians 2:3-4)

    4. No Purple-ing (no guys in girls spaces, no girls in guys spaces, pda, etc.) (Romans 12:10)

    5. No Stuff We Said “No” To (electronics, weapons, drugs, pranks, etc.) (1 Corinthians 13:11)

🤔 IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
